The Internet of Everything Has A New Signature

Signature Devices brings customization and powerful hardware to global IoT

Signature Devices, Inc. (OTC PINK: SDVI) (www.signaturedevices.com) has brought a technology trifecta into the IoT world and investors are responding. And why wouldn’t they. According to Statista, the global Internet of Things market is projected to grow to $8.9T in 2020, attaining a 19.92% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR). Industrial manufacturing is predicted to increase to $890B in global IoT spending. Healthcare and life sciences are projected to increase IoT spending to $1.335T in 2020.

To get to where they are now, Signature Devices Inc acquired four companies to create a new entity that develops and manufactures devices for digital home media management under its Morpheus, Truck It and Knoton brands.

Think of it as IoT on steroids and the next generation of mobility. In order to  create a connected platform for the Internet of Things, Signature Devices combines the best of the technologies underpinning the popular Morpheus media server, Tazerwear’s AI Software, and Truck IT’s beacon platform with Knoton’s hardware, infrastructure and software.

The result?  A blend of custom software and powerful hardware IoT-interconnected devices including media servers, home automation and GPS enabled devices, as well as Artificial Intelligence-based video analysis software.

The Signature Devices Platform of hardware and software, some of which is proprietary to the company, is built on the most rigorous standards of quality. Some of the hardware is proprietary to Signature Devices. The software is developed in-house and licensed from third party and then integrated into a single platform. The in-house developed hardware and software is also a candidate for potential patents.

Morpheus is a server/player media capture and distribution system designed with easy install and setup wizards. In other words, consumer friendly.

The Truck It Mobile App drives the mobile economy, allowing food trucks, mobile boutiques, rolling service providers, and other nontraditional small businesses to connect with customers, fueling increased sales and improving their bottom line.

Knoton is a wearable or surface mounted device and functions as a health tracker, child tracker, and pet tracker. It’s a home automation controller. Wait. There’s more. It also serves as an Early Notification System (ENS), Sudden Infant Death warning system—- wait — there’s more — SMS services, Wifi and BLE (Bluetooth beacon) —- it’s a long list.

TazerWear’s specialized machine learning applications for image and video gathering hardware processes image and video data, opening the door to feature detection machine learning software for networked cameras.  The software understands when and what users need to be warned about (like trespassers and vandalism alerts) without false alarms.

According to GrowthEnabler & MarketsandMarkets analysis, the global IoT market share will be dominated by three sub-sectors; smart cities (26%), industrial IoT (24%) and connected health (20%) followed by smart homes (14%), connected cars (7%), smart utilities (4%) and wearables (3%).

Analysts see B2B IoT segments generating $300B plus with enterprise and industrial segments being the most competitive. IoT has fuelled over $80B in merger and acquisition investments by major vendors and more than $30B in venture capital, according to estimates from the global management consulting firm, Bain and Company.

Signature Devices has come a long way from its start in 2002 in Nevada. Thanks to the foresight of its founders and current management team, the company is now putting its signature on the next generation of connectivity in the IoT sphere.
